Edina’s largest patriotic and family-oriented event is coming up in a few days, and you can be a significant part of it! We are continuing our tradition of marching in the Edina 4th of July parade, and we invite you to join us.
We will be marching for fun, to spend time with friends, to support our beliefs, and maybe even get some exercise. All it takes is 3 hours, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. We will carry signs supporting our causes. We will hand out candy to children along the parade route and wave flags. Speaking of kids, bring them along. The pace is sedate enough for everyone from toddlers to those in their 80’s to keep up.
Everyone is invited—friends and family, old and young. There is no cost to you. Dress appropriately for the weather. If possible, wear red. Some water will be available.
We will muster at space 52, which will likely be in the vicinity of the intersection of Normandale Rd and Golf Terrace, in the lower left corner of the map below. When the parade gets underway, we will walk north on E. Frontage Rd along the west side of the Edina Country Club golf course. The parade officially starts at the northwest corner of the Edina Country Club golf course, by the Edina City Hall. We will then walk about a mile east until we reach Halifax Ave S.
Rides can be arranged to your car at the end of the parade. Some may want to park along Arden Park on Minnehaha Blvd. We will meet there about 9:45 am and walk to the muster point.
Please scroll down to volunteer. We ask for your contact information, so that we can follow up with you a few days before the parade.
